S-D-Series

Standard Duty Series Gauge Tubing Flat/Crowned Pulleys


Hydro-crowned Standard Duty Pulleys. Our standard crown is 1/16" per ft. taper on the diameter 1/8" maximum.We also offer certain diameters with trapezoidal crowns.
We have taken the most commonly used crown within the industry and modified the degree of taper. The result: proven belt tracking without excessive belt or lacing wear. Our hydro-crown process ensures concentricity. Maximum run out on non-lagged pulleys is less than .060". (For closer concentricity, consult factory.)
  • Manufactured from top quality seam annealed welded steel tubing.
  • Endplates and hub assemblies are completely welded. Material cannot get inside.
  • Pulley diameter may restrict the bore range and/or alter the construction style of Standard Duty Pulleys.
  • Standard Duty Pulleys are available with the following options: Rough top lagging, Vulcanized lagging, V-grooved, Welded shafts, Fixed bore hubs with keyway and set screws, Internal bearings, All styles of split tapered hubs and bushings, Dynamic balancing and Shafting
M-D-Series

H-D-Series

Heavy Duty Series Bulk Handling Drum Pulleys


Chantland heavy duty pulleys are designed for your toughest applications. They are available in 14" diameter and larger and feature a rolled construction with a single seam. This design creates a stronger, more concentric pulley. All HD series pulleys are manufactured from top quality hot rolled plate. Seams are fused using a continual weld. All end disks are laser cut to the tightest tolerance and continually welded to the pulley rim.
For years, Chantland HD series pulleys have been used in almost every bulk handling application. They are available crowned or flat face with a variety of shaft attachment options.
  • HD series pulleys are also available in “Mine Duty” for your most rugged applications. Mine duty pulleys are manufactured using heavier rims, heavier end disks and interior support plates.We will also manufacture to your specifications.

M-C-Series

Machine Crowned Heavy Wall Pulleys


Available in crowned and flat face. Flat pulleys will be supplied less machining unless specified. Crowned pulleys 24" or less will be machined from center with a taper of 1/16" per foot off the radius. Crowned pulleys greater than 24" in length will be machined with a 1/16" X 8" long taper off the radius each end.
Standard tolerances are as follows: Flat pulleys less machining = .060" T.I.R., crowned or machined flat pulleys up to 24" long = .015" T.I.R., crowned or machined flat pulleys 25" – 36" long = .030 T.I.R., crowned or machined flat pulleys 37" – 52" long = .040" T.I.R.
Note: These are standard tolerances and tighter tolerances are available. Please contact a customer service representative for your specific requirements.
  • Manufactured from the highest quality DOM tubing, seamless tubing, and black pipe.
  • End plates and hub assemblies are completely welded. Material cannot get inside.
  • Our MC Series pulleys are available with the following crowns: Radius, Trapezoidal and Apex.

Stainless Steel Series Heavy Wall/Gauge Tubing Flat Pulleys


Our stainless steel series is one of the most extensive in the industry. Available in diameters from 2" through 72". Our stainless pulleys are available in gauge tubing as well as heavy wall. Virtually every crown is available. Please see diameter page for standard crown and run out.
The standard construction has recessed end disks. All welds are machined and polished. End plates are available flush, please specify when ordering.
Stainless is used throughout the food, fertilizer and chemical industries.

B-D-Series

Belt Savers Series Self-Cleaning Wing Pulleys


We offer one of the broadest lines of wing pulleys in the industry. From 4" diameter to 30" diameter, we have a wing pulley to fit your needs.
For your small, light-duty applications we offer fins welded directly to shafts. For your larger, heavy-duty applications, you can choose from one of our many designs.
Our standard design features half oval bar welded to fins. This design creates a smooth, rounded surface for belt contact which allows longer belt life.
We also offer spiral wings which have flat bar helically wound from the center out. This design allows for full contact with the belt which reduces noise and vibration.
  • Pulley diameter may restrict the bore range and/or alter the construction style of Belt Savers pulleys.

Vulcanized Lagging


Chantland offers a complete line of vulcanized products. All lagging is done in-house.
Vulcanized lagging is available in a large variety of compounds, thicknesses and durometers. The standard is 60 durometer shore A, SBR; however, we offer many different compounds in durometers ranging from 45-85.
While many manufacturers supply a plain wrap finish, Chantland machines all vulcanized pulleys ensuring a true crown or flat face with a maximum run out of .015".
  • Available with the following grooving options: Herringbone, Chevron, Diamond or Circumferential
  • V-grooves cut in lagging, rubber built on shafting, or rubber over ends to journals
  • Following compounds available: Urethane, Neoprene, Carboxinated nitrile, EPDM and Nitriles
H-R-Series

Hex Rollers


We offer a wide variety of sizes, materials and shaft installations. Our hex rollers are manufactured from carbon steel, galvanized steel or PVC. We offer 7/16" or 11/16" hex shafts – either spring-loaded or with cotter pin holes drilled in the ends.
We have one of the fastest turnaround times in the industry – with no minimum quantity or set-up charge.
  • Rollers are available in three types: Type C: Roller with hex bearings, no shaft, Type CS: Roller with hex bearings and hex shaft secured with hog rings and Type CSS: Roller with hex bearings and spring loaded hex shaft

Shafting, Hubs and Bushings


Chantland offers a complete line of shafting. We will cut keyways, mill flats, journal ends and drill and tap to fit your requirements.
Our standard shafting is 1045 turned, ground and polished. This represents the higher carbon range in the open hearth group. The turned, ground and-polished specification ensures that our shafting will meet or exceed your bearing requirements and allow for easy installation and years of maintenance-free service.
Hubs and Bushings - Chantland offers a complete line of split tapered compression-style hubs and bushings as well as straight thru-bore hubs.
Hubs and bushings available in: XT®, QD®, Taper-Lock®. Straight thru-bore D hubs QD®, XT® and Taper-Lock® are registered trademarks.
